Our Mission

Making Sleep Movement Monitoring Accessible to Every Clinician and Patient

Leg movements fragment sleep and increase risks of heart disease, stroke, and depression. We deliver continuous, objective monitoring to transform clinical care and research.

Clinical Sleep Care
70% Diagnosis – 80% Treatment Improvement

Objective ambulatory data to drastically improve diagnostic precision and longitudinal therapy management.

Pediatric & ADHD Focus
70% Pediatric Identification

Empower clinicians to detect and treat underlying nocturnal movement disorders in children evaluated for ADHD.

Translational Research
High-Fidelity Biomarkers

Equip researchers with multi-night ambulatory tools to uncover new links between sleep motor activity and health.

Our Story

Founded to Advance Research into Leg Movements During Sleep

Tanzen Medical was founded through a collaboration of UMBC engineering professors and Johns Hopkins sleep physicians. Our goal has always been to create an accessible method for multi-night characterization of leg movements during sleep (LMS), to aid in the diagnosis and treatment management of sleep movement disorders (RLS, PLMD, RBD, and ADHD).

Tanzen is a German word meaning to dance.
